The KING Comes to the Threshold at Passover!

In my ruminations surrounding a possible Passover/Resurrection Sunday Rapture, I remembered an exciting discovery I read in Tom Horn’s book The Messenger called “the Threshold Covenant”.

The Threshold Covenant

 

In The Messenger Tom Horn tells how Henry Clay Trumbull published an entire volume in 1896 on the threshold covenant in ancient religions. Most of us have grown up believing that Passover was when God instituted for the Israelites the beginning of the blood covenant rite. This is not the case.

 

The word pesach from which we get our word Passover existed prior to the feast and the tenth plague. “A deep dig into the etymological roots of the word in ancient Hebrew blatantly exposes that the angel-passed-over definition is not only incorrect, but that the true meaning is far more significant!”

 

“. . . Pesach, before the Exodus, meant ‘to come under the protection of a deity by crossing over [or] leaping over. . . the threshold and into the protection of a home sprinkled with the animal’s blood.”

 

Therefore, when YHWH instructed the Israelites via Moses to sacrifice an unblemished lamb, this was done over the threshold of the home:

 

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip [it] in the blood that [is] in the bason[sap̄--threshold], and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that [is] in the bason[sap̄--threshold]; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. - Exodus 12:22 KJV

 

The Israelites would have already been familiar with the threshold covenant. “In dealing with his chosen people, God did not invent a new rite or ceremonial at every stage of his progressive revelation to them; but he took a rite with which they were already familiar, and gave to it a new and deeper significance in its new use and relations.”

Some scholars acknowledge that in the ancient East kings would travel throughout their land with their armies interacting with the people from door to door. “One central reason the kings would directly lead a march. . . was to weed out their enemies. When people in these territories heard that the king was coming, they would complete a sacrifice upon their threshold, using their most prized animals as a covenant sign to the king and his men that he was welcome to “pass over” their threshold. . . and receive homage.”

 

This would result in those people receiving the protection of the king. Those who did not perform the threshold rite were considered enemies of the king and were destroyed.

 

“Pesach means to jump over something, as we have certainly discussed, but in proper context of the threshold, the term means “protect”! And whereas the translators. . . rendered Exodus 12:13 to read “I [God] will pass over you,” the English translation of the Septuagint (LXX) actually has it: “I [God] will protect you”!”

 

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I [am] the LORD. - Exodus 12:12 KJV

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye [are]: and when I see the blood, I will pass over[PROTECT] you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy [you], when I smite the land of Egypt. - Exodus 12:13 KJV

 

As those born again of God’s Spirit, we have made the Threshold Covenant when we believed on Christ’s atoning blood sacrifice and made Him Lord in our hearts (Romans 10:9-10); and, at that time, we enter into the protection of the KING of kings.

Exodus of the Bride of Christ

 

If our Exodus parallels that of the Israelites, then we may indeed see the prophesied Plague of Darkness before we leave earth. 

Due to the supernatural aspect of this plague, I have held back being adamant about it coming but have continued to warn because of the myriad of other watchmen who have been shown it is indeed coming. Just recently in my feed was a 3-minute video by Zach Wilkinson at Outpouring Gates warning If You Don't Know, #You Should Know! #3 #Days of #Darkness. Earlier in the week I came across a two-year old video by Spirit Move Ministry entitled PROPHETIC WORD: "3 DARK Days" Easter Prophecy- For America & Body Of Christ wherein a Sister shares how this darkness is to awaken the sleeping Church comparing them to Saul’s conversion on the road to Damascus (prophetic word begins at 4 minutes).

 

We each need to seek the Lord on these and any prophetic words. If the Lord allows this strange plague, will it occur in April during this Passover Season to parallel the Darkness that came when Jesus was crucified?

 

Only recently did the correlation between this Destroyer [Planet X/Nibiru] and the Destroyer at the time of Moses and the first Passover strike me. Both are accompanied by a plague of darkness and both Destroyers are kept from harming those who are marked by the blood of the Lamb of God. From THE COMING DESTROYER AND OUR EXODUS

 

I encourage you to watch Zach’s brief video because he relates the Plague of Darkness with Planet X/Nibiru and demonic activity.

The Israelites were kept safe by YHWH because He was welcomed into their homes where they were protected. So too will Those in Christ be kept by His blood sacrifice for we are under the protection of the KING who has made His abode in our hearts.

 

In THE COMING DESTROYER AND OUR EXODUS I speculated about the exit of the Church from earth occurring around Passover when the children of Israel made their Exodus from Egypt; however, they did not enter their destination--the Promised Land until Joshua led them across the Jordan on the 10^th of the Hebrew month Nisan. Then the Israelites celebrated Passover together in Canaan. As they ate the produce of the Promised Land for the first time, immediately the supply of manna–the food that sustained them in the wilderness for forty years–ceased (Joshua Chapter 5).

 

This is why Dr. Barry Awe has great expectation that the Exodus of the True Church could occur anytime in the month of Nisan as he explains in his video, His Book and His stars profess RAPTURE Mar/April every year.

Escaping the Coming Storm

 

Before the “man of sin” can be revealed, the Rapture of the Man Child/Bride must first happen (see The Rapture in 2 Thessalonians 2:3). Those in Christ will see “the Storm of storms” approaching but it is there to awaken the unsaved before it is too late. Be assured that the Bride of Christ will be harpazo-ed by the Heavenly Bridegroom before the Storm overtakes Her.

 

The second dream in Kristi Winland’s series of dreams confirms this and is so encouraging! . . .

 

The dream God gave her encapsulates where we are, Brethren. The waters may come lapping at our toes, but remember the account of Joshua. By faith those who were bearing the Ark of the Covenant stepped toward the Jordan River allowing the waters to lap at their feet (Joshua 3:13) then the waters parted making a way to the Promised Land. God showed Kristi in a dream that the waters of the Storm may lap at our toes; but just as Joshua (whose Hebrew name is the same as Jesus’--yᵊhôšûaʿ) led the Israelites in completing their journey out of Egypt, Jesus will lead Those in Christ out of the Egypt of this world before the Storm hits and whisk us to a place He has prepared for us in His Father’s House as He promised!

The custom of a groom carrying his bride over the threshold actually began in the earliest records of human history as a woman stepping over the animal-sacrifice blood into her new husband’s home after a matrimonial ceremony.

 

My heart rejoices at the real possibility that Our Groom may come to the threshold of our heart that has been purified by His righteous blood and whisk us, His waiting Bride, away to our new Home this Passover Season!

 

Let me add some balance to the excitement and remind you that even though we may have to endure a dark Transitional Phase, the Spirit of the Lord revealed that the resulting Awakening and Harvest would be very brief (see The dropping of HIS shoe--2 Visions). No definite time was shown to me, but Tim Henderson is correct in continually saying, “An awakening can happen in an hour”.

 

Then, with reward in hand (Revelation 22:12), our Heavenly Bridegroom will “return with a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom comes’” and quickly snatch His Bride over the Threshold into the Bridal Chamber for the final stage of our Holy Marriage!

And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. - Revelation 19:13-14 KJV

 

Perhaps this is why when He returns to earth with His Bride after the shavuah or seven years of Tribulation, the hem of His garments have been dipped in blood—the blood from the Threshold Covenant!
