2nd Shoe to Drop NOW then Rapture?

 

If you do not know what I mean by the “2^nd shoe to drop”, I am referring to what I wrote in IS THIS THE 2ND SHOE THAT IS TO DROP?—

 

“It’s just a matter of time for the other shoe to drop,” J. D. Farag states in his March 5, 2023 Prophecy Update--Waiting For the Other Shoe to Drop. His video caught my eye because of the open visions the Lord gave me when He dropped into my spirit that a catastrophe would occur in our nation that would lead to a brief global revival just prior to the Rapture (see The dropping of HIS shoe--2 Visions).

J. D. explained his belief that the 1st shoe to drop was the September 2020 Abraham Accords Peace Agreement along with the Peace and Prosperity Plan of January 2020 and the introduction of the “viper bite” a.k.a. the Covid vaccine. Pastor J.D. stated that the 2^nd shoe to drop—at any time now—will be the vaccine patch.  

In Waiting for His 2nd Shoe to Drop I wrote how I thought the 2nd shoe would be an attack on America's nuclear stockpiles leading to the Rapture. HOWEVER, I am now convinced the 2^nd shoe hinges again on an agreement involving Israel—THEE agreement—the Two-State Solution.

 

As reported in 4-8 and the Rapture Sign Line, the nations of the world are about to fulfill Scripture by dividing Israel and specifically Jerusalem and subsequently ignite the time of the end. It was reported that some time this month of April the bid to implement the Two-State Solution and give Palestine full membership will be decided by the United Nations.

 

From Michael Snyder’s article, Almost Everyone Missed One Of The Main Points Of The Eclipse:

 

. . . In particular, the fact that the Great American Eclipse of 2024 completed the giant “X” over the New Madrid fault zone that the Great American Eclipse of 2017 started is such an obvious warning that I can’t believe that almost everyone is ignoring it. . . 

I am sure that the other major networks also chose to ignore the obvious.

But somebody out there has certainly been trying to draw attention to what the eclipse on 4/8 really meant.

On Friday, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake rattled New York City on the exact same day that an earthquake at a depth of precisely 4.8 miles shook the New Madrid fault zone… 

That quake was part of a mini-swarm of 5 earthquakes that hit the New Madrid fault zone that day… 

What we are witnessing right now are warnings.

Someday there will be an apocalyptic earthquake along the New Madrid fault zone that will permanently alter the geography of the United States.

But it isn’t time for that yet.

The dividing of the land of Israel comes first, and this is something that the Biden administration seems absolutely determined to accomplish… 

We have been warned that if we divide the land of Israel our land will be divided.

But the Biden administration plans to do it anyway.

 

It caught my eye that the thumbnail for the YouTube video embedded in his article highlighted  "New York, Chicago, L.A."—the 3 cities the Lord has very clearly said will be judged first.

 

There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy as to where the epicenter actually occurred, but both locations are equally prophetic—in Lebanon or in Whitehouse Station, Hunterdon County, New Jersey (towns located less than 5 miles from each other).

 

In his article, Michael quotes from a wsmv.com article Minor quake recorded along New Madrid Seismic Zone. On the same day the 4.8 struck New Jersey, some hours earlier—

 

The New Madrid Seismic Zone started rocking early Friday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a magnitude 2.1 earthquake at 12:17 a.m. April 5. The tremor was centered along the Mississippi River in Lake County, Tennessee, about 3 miles northeast of Caruthersville and 26.5 miles northeast of Blytheville. The USGS said it had a depth of 7 kilometers (4.8 miles).

According to the USGS, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is the “most seismically active in North America east of the Rockies.”

“Irreversible” Two-State Solution

 

It should be obvious that God is warning the world NOT to divide Israel, yet in 2023 UN called for 'irreversible' move toward two-state solution to Israel crisis. Then, as I stated in 4-8 and the Rapture Sign Line the UN’s Committee on New Members is expected to make a decision about Palestine’s status this month.

 

When the United Nations makes the decision for this final dividing of Israel does it mean Israel must comply? This year in February Reuters reported:

 

Netanyahu said statehood would be a "huge reward" in the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack on Israel, which triggered the latest war in Gaza. He said such an arrangement can only be reached in direct negotiations between the two sides, though no talks have been held since 2014.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said on Friday Netanyahu was invoking negotiations only to have the process fail again. “The Palestinian state is not a gift or a favour from Netanyahu, but a right imposed by international law and legitimate international resolutions," it said in a statement.

 

Unfortunately, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry is right:

 

“This is only the second time that Palestine has been able to get this far in their bid for full UN membership. The last time was 2011 when it essentially failed in the Security Council standing committee due to a threat by the US to veto it if it ever came to a vote,” he noted.

He added that for any country to become a full member of the UN, the international body’s charter says the country’s membership first has to be approved by the Security Council and then it would need to get the support of two-thirds of the 190 members of the UN General Assembly.

“It is believed that Palestine has the support in the General Assembly. That is pretty much widely accepted. The issue is in the Security Council, … where any of the five permanent members could veto it, and this would then stop the process,” Elizondo said. Source-Aljazeera.com

The five permanent members are: China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States. According to the interactive map at the Aljazeera article, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States have not yet officially recognized Palestine as a state. When the U.S. does recognize Palestine, the United Kingdom and France are sure to follow. According to afr.com the Biden administration has already drawn up policy options on recognition:

 

“We should be starting to set out what a Palestinian state would look like – what it would comprise, how it would work,” Cameron said.

“As that happens, we, with allies, will look at the issue of recognising a Palestinian state, including at the United Nations. This could be one of the things that helps to make this process irreversible.”

Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has gone further. He says Spain could recognise Palestine at the United Nations by July, becoming the first major Western European nation to do so.

Even the Biden administration has drawn up policy options on recognition, according to US media reports. [Emphasis added by me.]

 

Scripture tells us that it’s going to happen (Joel 3:2) but not exactly when. It is my belief that when (not IF but WHEN) this bid is passed it will be the 2nd Shoe to Drop followed by the great seismic event in America and the Rapture! America, who has already distanced itself from Israel, will be in no condition to help Israel. Around this time I am expecting Israel to destroy Damascus as there will be a Great Convergence of events surrounding the time of the Resurrection/Rapture.

 

If the Kamala Harris prophecies come to pass of America being devastated after a woman assumes the Presidency, then perhaps that is what is next just prior to the Rapture.  

 

Passover Begins Rapture Season

 

One thing is certain—we have entered the “Rapture Season”. Over the years, especially since the Revelation 12 Sign of 2017, the watchers for the Lord have considered each holy moed or feast of the Lord as a possible Rapture time. The truth is, we do not know with certainty when the Catching Away will occur because a moed does not have to be a feast day:

 

Does moed ALWAYS mean a Feast Day? In studying H4150 moed I learned that it does not always refer to a Feast Day. To my knowledge, no verse specifies a definite festival on which the Rapture will occur although each feast of the Lord has elements foreshadowing the Rapture. [From Prophesied Events Before the Rapture]

 

This does not preclude the Catching Away from occurring on a feast day, of course; so, I do appreciate all the teachings related to a possible festival day Rapture, such as Aaron’s recent video 10 Reasons For A Passover Rapture April 2024 at his God A Minute YTC. I join Aaron in the belief that the Scriptures indicate that Those in Christ identify with the Barley Harvest.

 

In my studies I see the possible timeframe if the Rapture were to happen this year beginning at the Passover season. Should the Rapture not occur around the Hebrew Passover this month, then perhaps our rescue will be at the time God considers the very last minute—something to be discussed in an upcoming article.

In the meantime, I’ll be watching for that 2^nd shoe to drop!

4-8 and the Rapture Sign Line

 

“Everybody wants to know the timeline, but God says it’s not a timeline it’s a SIGN line.”

 

Remember me mentioning this quote from Paul Begley which refers to the timing of the Rapture? We keep hoping we are seeing the last sign. The April 8 Great American Solar Eclipse (GASE) may not be the last celestial sign, however, it is the Watershed Sign meaning it is the point at which all events that must play out before the Rapture will take place in rapid succession (related: PASSOVER ACCELERATION--"MY SON'S RETURN FOR THE BRIDE IS IMMINENT").

 

I thought I was finished writing about April 8, however, the signs keep coming!

 

4-8 and Israel

 

Most Bible believers will immediately see the connection with 4-8 and the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948.

 

Interestingly on April 4, CIA 'warns Iran will attack Israel within 48 hours' as revenge for consulate strike—“within 48 hours”. That time span has elapsed, however, Ramadan (a month that is holy to Muslims when they are required to fast) ends—guess when? That’s right—April 8. But the icing on the cake is the news that the U.S. "Will Not Interfere" if Iran Attacks Israel!

 

4.8 Quake in Lebanon

 

Corey at End Times: Darkness Descending wrote about the significance of the recent earthquake in the United States in his article BREAKING PROPHECY ALERT: EARTHQUAKE STRIKES NEW JERSEY – TWO KEY NUMBERS SURFACE AS AMERICAN ECLIPSE APPROACHES:

 

. . . On April 5, 2024, a moderate earthquake registering 4.8 on the measuring scale has struck the state of New Jersey in the United States of America. While the magnitude of this quake would not really be sufficient reason to label this as a news item worth considering a title of “major breaking news,” the rather peculiar prophetic clues hidden within the quake itself are worthy of this title and cause to sit up and take notice. . . 

The epicenter of the quake took place in Lebanon, New Jersey.

In biblical prophecy, Lebanon is mentioned in sequence with Damascus, Syria. We are told that Damascus will be leveled in one night and be no more before the morning – indicating modern warfare. Israel currently is embroiled in conflict with Lebanon and Syria. Accordingly, and for various reasons, the Rapture likely occurs before the destruction of Damascus and the conflict with Lebanon results in the required criteria that the Bible gives to us.

 

In Events Before the Rapture I propose that there may be a link between the fall of Damascus and Babylon and that the Rapture will occur as the sudden destruction of Babylon America begins.

 

Although the epicenter was in New Jersey, this earthquake was felt in all the adjacent states including New York—where the U.N. is located. Now the End Begins reported:

 

At the United Nations in Midtown Manhattan, a Security Council address on the Israel-Gaza conflict was interrupted as cameras began shuddering. . . 

The last time an earthquake with a magnitude close to, or above, 5 struck near New York City was back in 1884, the USGS said.

 

Corey goes on to make more correlations:

 

Today’s Lebanon, New Jersey earthquake took place “3” days after the Taiwan quake. The “4.8” New Jersey quake also takes place “3” days before the 2nd of the two Great American eclipses on April 8 (4/8). Notably, the Statue of Liberty, a well known and iconic symbol of America was struck by lightning on the 3rd – the same day as the Taiwan earthquake. . .

 

There are suspicions that the Taiwan quake may have been due to manmade efforts. It is possible that America will succumb to a worse fate. As I've written before, the prophesied New Madrid fault line earthquake may be caused by technology that incites seismic activity in the already unsettled New Madrid fault zone and splits the U.S. down the middle. 

 

Michael Snyder makes the same connections I have been warning about for a long time in his article What Happened The Last Time Two Eclipses Formed A Giant "X" Over The New Madrid Fault Zone?

 

Could it be possible that history is about to repeat itself? On April 8th, the Great American Eclipse of 2024 will complete the giant “X” over America that the Great American Eclipse of 2017 started. . .

As the most ominous sign in the entire history of our country passes over our heads, they will be celebrating. 

But the last time we saw a giant “X” over the heartland of America, it certainly wasn’t anything to celebrate. 

Scientists tell us that it is just a matter of time before cataclysmic earthquakes erupt along the New Madrid fault zone once again, and when that time arrives the death and destruction that we will witness will be off the charts. 

. . . A remarkable total solar eclipse crossed the entire continental United States from the west coast to the east coast on June 16th, 1806… That was the first half of the giant “X” over America in the early 1800s. The second half was formed by the path of a “ring of fire” solar eclipse that took place on September 17th, 1811. . .

Approximately three months after the eclipse of 1811 completed the giant “X” over America, the New Madrid fault zone started to go absolutely nuts. . .

The Rapture is prophesied to occur in the time surrounding a great earthquake. It is my hope that the upcoming New Madrid quake fulfills those prophecies. If so, the decimation of America will be complete before the armies “out of the north parts” attack Israel according to Ezekiel 38 and 39.

 

4/8 and the Occult

 

After posting this article I had the opportunity to watch J. D. Farag’s Prophecy Update - 2024-04-07 titled The Closer We Get The Crazier It Gets. Beginning around 30:30 minutes into this video J. D. shares how Aleister Crowley, by way of a demonic being dictating it to him, wrote The Book of the Law. This book for Crowley's practice of Magick is based on the premise of "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law”. It was given to Crowley over a span of 3 days beginning on—April 8.

 

Put that together with the fact J. D. goes on to tell that they have been planning for this eclipse day for 2 years, and we better understand the NASA and CERN activities (see related article: April 8 They are Summoning the gods for the Final Battle). In fact while viewing another Youtube video it was pointed out that one of the Space Force logos illustrates the 2017 and 2024 GASE paths (see image above).

 

4/8 and the Two-State Solution

 

After I had joined many Americans to watch God’s celestial handiwork, I saw the news that as we all gawked heavenward the UN’s Committee on New Members met behind closed doors to discuss the bid to implement the Two-State Solution and give Palestine full membership:

 

UN Security Council refers Palestine’s full membership bid to committee

Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour urges Security Council to ‘elevate itself to implementing the global consensus on the two-state solution’. . . 

The 15-member committee is expected to make a decision about Palestine’s status this month, said Vanessa Frazier, Malta’s UN ambassador, who also proposed that the committee meet on Monday to consider the application.

 

It is my belief that when (not IF but WHEN) this bid is passed it will be the 2^nd Shoe to Drop followed by the great seismic event in America and the Rapture!

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV

 

4-8 and the Coming Rapture Strike to America

 

Unless certain prophesied events begin on April 8, it is more probable the Rapture will occur at some time after the Mega-Sign of the GASE—BUT WAIT TIL YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS NEXT SIGN.

 

As Corey mentioned, the Statue of Liberty was apparently “electrocuted” on April 3. Then the 4.8 quake hit New Jersey. It was reported that “The last time an earthquake with a magnitude close to, or above, 5 struck near New York City was back in 1884” (another 4-8 connection). AND:

 

In 1884 on July 4 France presented the Statue of Liberty to America. 

 

But there’s more! In a video by Suspicious Observers YTC, Record Electroquake, Magnetic Field Effect, NeoWise | S0 News Apr.6.2024, at the 1:10 minute mark they explain how the Statue of Liberty was not struck by lightning but acted as a conduit for a global energy release referred to as an "Earth strike discharge". The image above shows how the energy forks upwards from the Statue. These earth strike discharges occur days or hours before an earthquake. 

This is a huge sign of the coming Rapture! A GLOBAL ENERGY RELEASE reminds me of the GLOBAL ENERGY RELEASE OR EVENT HORIZON THAT IS THE RESURRECTION AND RAPTURE OF THOSE IN CHRIST! In Episode #483 The Day Lightning Makes the World Shut Down (which has since been taken down) Perry Stone gave a presentation showing how the awesome lightning-like Rapture will affect the Earth similar to an EMP!

 

I and many others believe it will be the Rapture that will cause the fatal blow to the United States of America and that is what I believe God is saying with this lightning-like “strike” by way of the Statue of Liberty.

 

4:8 and the Catching Away of the Bride

 

Corey also found a beautiful verse to correspond to 4:8--

 

Furthermore, if we look at Song of Solomon chapter 4 verse 8 (48), we find a rather interesting connection to a known Rapture typology/picture of the future Rapture of the Church and the mention of Lebanon … 

“Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions’ dens, from the mountains of the leopards” (Song of Solomon 4:8).

 

We are also currently in the Hebrew year 5784 where we see the 4-8 pattern again in reverse. It is The Year of the Open Door.

April 8 They are Summoning the gods for the Final Battle

AS WE SEE THE DAY OF THE CATCHING AWAY APPROACHING SO DOES OUR ENEMY.

 

By now many of you have learned of all the crazy things associated with the April 8 Total Solar Eclipse across America. I shared some of them in EARTHQUAKES & ECLIPSES ALERT especially as it relates to how this 2^nd great eclipse will complete the giant “X” at the New Madrid fault zone that was begun by the 2017 eclipse.

 

Tim Henderson posted a video recently where at the 12-minute mark he gives a synopsis of the unusual convergence of events surrounding the April 8 Great American Solar Eclipse (GASE) listing additional things happening that have caught my prophetic eye:

 

1—The “Devil” or “Horned” Comet has become visible in the Northern Hemisphere. During the eclipse, a massive and unusually bright comet named “12/P Pons–Brooks” will be visible in the neighboring constellation Aries, the lamb.

2—On April 8 the 7 other planets in our solar system along with the Sun and Moon will appear to form a straight line in the sky when looking from Jerusalem towards the East. (See PASSOVER ACCELERATION--"MY SON'S RETURN FOR THE BRIDE IS IMMINENT" for more related to the rarity of this celestial alignment and the comet.)

3—Also on April 8 CERN is planning to fire up its Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

4—As the eclipse passes over America, NASA will be firing 3 rockets into the Moon’s shadow.

 

As I considered NASA’s rockets and CERN’s activity, it hit me—they are invoking the “gods” of chaos and destruction!

 

In a blurb regarding his book Last Clash of the Titans: The Second Coming of Hercules, Leviathan, and the Prophesied War Between Jesus Christ and the Gods of Antiquity, Derek P. Gilbert writes:

  

Greek and Roman myths are twisted versions of history: Zeus is Satan, the Titans are the sons of god who came in to the daughters of man, and the heroes of the Golden Age are the mighty men of old: the Nephilim.

There's a good chance you were taught that the pagan gods were imaginary. But God Himself calls them gods. Not only that, He's judged them, found them wanting, and proclaimed a sentence of death.

In Last Clash of the Titans, you'll discover that the Titans, the old gods of the Greeks, are the Bible's Watchers, rebel angels who fathered the monstrous Nephilim. The Nephilim giants, later called Rephaim, were worshipped by the Canaanites and became the heroic demigods of the Greeks. But the Hebrew prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel, as well as the pagan prophet Balaam, tell us when, where, and by whom they'll be destroyed.

Zeus, Hercules, the Olympians, and the Titans are real. They hate us, they want to kill us, and they're coming back. . .

 

I’m not saying that on April 8 the false gods or fallen angels and their offspring will be manifesting on Earth; but as you will see as I explain further, the global elite are summoning these gods of chaos and destruction to aid in establishing a New World Order under the Antichrist/Beast.

NASA’s APEP Rockets

 

NASA named its 3 rockets using the acronym APEP:

 

NASA will launch three sounding rockets during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, to study how Earth’s upper atmosphere is affected when sunlight momentarily dims over a portion of the planet.

The Atmospheric Perturbations around Eclipse Path (APEP) sounding rockets will launch from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia to study the disturbances in the ionosphere created when the Moon eclipses the Sun. nasa.gov

 

Apep is another name for Apophis—the deity of chaos.

 

Apophis is associated with earthquakes, thunder, darkness, storms, and death, and is sometimes linked to the god Set [as in RE:SET], also associated with chaos, disorder, storms, and darkness. . . 

Apophis became the enemy of the sun god because the sun was the first sign of the created world and symbolized divine order, light, life, and if he could swallow the sun god, he could return the world to a unity of darkness. . . Source

 

In 2021 I wrote about Apophis, which is the Egyptian word for “Dragon”, and its relationship to Planet X in September 23 and the Coming of Planet X, the Rapture, and Cannibalism:

 

As the personification of all that was evil, Apep was seen as a giant snake, crocodile, serpent, or in later years, in a few cases, as a dragon, leading to titles such as Serpent from the Nile, and Evil lizard. Indeed, his name is thought to translate roughly as Great snake. egyptiangods.co.uk 

. . . In Egyptian mythology, he was the 'moon-serpent' that emerged from the great abyss, filling the underworld with his horrific roar. [17] Apophis abided in the darkness and rebelled against all order. [3] He was the most dangerous of the chaotic entities and constantly threatened the divine order, [12] and it was widely held that he would continue to exist in an endless cycle of battle, defeat, and battle. [19] 

. . . Frightening natural events were all directly connected to the work of Apophis, such as the sudden darkness from an eclipse or an oncoming storm. [20] The movement of his body could create earthquakes, and his eyes were particularly feared. [13] blackdrago.com [Highlighting added by me]

 

Aaron at God A Minute in his recent video on this subject also connects Apophis with the 3 days of darkness as recorded in Exodus (which researchers attribute to Planet X). Planet X or Nibiru IS The Destroyer that will be used during the Tribulation to bring wrath upon the Earth (see The Destroyer and Our Exodus).

 

CERN and Shiva

 

As listed earlier, also on April 8 CERN plans on cranking up its LHC which has already been reported to have opened portals into another dimension.

It is my suspicion that the actual purpose of CERN is—when God allows it—to fulfill Revelation 9, the opening of the bottomless pit. Talk about chaos!

 

Practicing for Martial Law?

 

The closer we get to April 8 the more is being revealed as to the possibility of WHY the government is going overboard with preparations. On March 27, 2024, Infowars.com posted EXCLUSIVE: Feds Using Total Solar Eclipse Hysteria To Practice Martial Law Ahead Of Election.

 

Dave Hodges of The Common Sense Show suspects the governments of the world know there is to be a coronal mass ejection or CME-induced EMP. As I wrote in Grid Down after the Eclipse then a 2024 Rapture? it has been prophesied that there is to be a blackout situation in America marked by the closing out of Adar II on April 8.

 

The Spirit of the Lord seems to be telling the Ecclesia of Christ to be ready for our final battle before the Trump of God calls us Home to rest. We are all weary of this evil world, but it is my impression that God will use whatever these “gods of chaos and destruction” are allowed to throw at us to humble the hearts of the lost and awaken those who are spiritually asleep for a last-minute Awakening.

 

But, Brethren, the April 8 Mega-Sign is also God’s way to encourage us that we do not have much longer to go!

 

The Planet Parade

 

Remember back in 2022 the planets had an epic alignment (as I wrote about here) and during this upcoming eclipse there will be an even more rare alignment! Also in that article, I told you about our Brother in Christ Joey Bon sharing how he knew this planet parade was significant because years ago the Lord had impressed on him that “the planets were coming into alignment”.

Dance Card Dream & April 17 Planet Parade

Well, Joey just came out with a new video after months of waiting on the Lord—Rapture soon!!! 17 year old words of knowledge happening April 8th!!! Planets in alignment/Sunblock. He begins by reviewing prophetic words that have come to pass recently. Then at the 7:14 mark he shares how God has confirmed to him that the rhema He gave Joey 17 years prior was referring to the 2024 planetary alignment! What He told Joey was, “The planets are coming into alignment. We will need a lot of sun block.” Joey admits he doesn’t know exactly what it means, but he knows it is an important sign for the Body of Christ. Near the end of the video he talks about a dream of a treacherous plane ride of escape. Even though it looks like we will have a Wild Ride on our way out—like Joey—I’m hoping this April 8 Mega-Sign is our Exit Sign for the Rapture Ramp to Heaven!

In 2024 the Year of the Dragon AND the Rapture? I wrote:

 

. . . A mental picture immediately came to me of the Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots game my daughter gave her two brothers this Christmas for the nostalgic fun of it, and with that vision came the thought that this year there will be a mighty spiritual battle where the Body of Christ will be knocking the block off the Red Dragon just before we fly Home!

 

More came into my spirit and I immediately wrote it down:

 

This year the Church will be under tremendous attack from the Dragon but the provision through the Lord, Yᵊhōvâ Jireh, will be amazing! There will be not only miraculous provision financially and physically but most notably provision spiritually!

There will be a fullness of the power and glory of God manifested in the Man Child/Bride as the Church reaches the fullness of its time on earth. It will be a sight to behold! Just as the children of Israel were strengthened and made rich before the Exodus, so it will be for Those in Christ and then we will make Our Exodus!

 

Jesus the Afikomen and the Promise of the Rapture

 

It is this time of year the followers of Jesus Christ celebrate His victory over Death and the Jews commemorate Passover. There is an ancient Jewish tradition associated with the Passover Feast of Unleavened Bread that is called the hiding of the afikomen.

 

Feast of Unleavened Bread & the Afikomen

 

Yeshua was in the sepulcher the day following His crucifixion, which was the fifteenth of Nisan, the first day of Unleavened Bread.

 

The Feast of Unleavened Bread is observed the day after Passover and is a seven-day festival to the Lord (Leviticus 23:6-7; Exodus 12:7-8,14-17). As Christianity emerged from Judaism, Jewish ideas taken up and developed by followers of Jesus were suppressed by Jewish authorities. Such was the case with the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

 

One of these ideas or customs is practiced during the Passover Seder and involves 3 Matzahs which are wrapped up in a white linen napkin. In this ancient custom, the father of the household takes the middle matzah and breaks it in half.

 

The smaller half goes back in with the other 2 matzahs while the larger half (now called the afikomen) is placed in a separate linen and hidden somewhere dark in the house.

 

The children search for the afikomen and bring it to the father in exchange for a prize. Refusal to surrender the afikomen until a prize is agreed upon is called a “ransom”. And the prize is called “the Promise of the Father”.

 

Now the father breaks the afikomen into as many pieces as there are people gathered and each partakes in remembrance of the paschal lamb.

 

Does any of that custom remind you of Jesus?

 

The three matzahs represent the Godhead. The middle matzah that is broken represents Jesus, specifically the afikomen because Jesus gave His life as a “ransom for all” (see Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; 1 Tim 2:6; Rev. 5:9). His broken body was wrapped in linen (Matt. 27:59; Mark 15:46; Luke 23:53; John 20:7) and hidden in a dark place.

 

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. - Hosea 13:14 KJV

 

14. Applying primarily to God's restoration of Israel from Assyria partially, and, in times yet future, fully from all the lands of their present long-continued dispersion, and political death (compare Hsa 6:2 Isa 25:8 26:19 Eze 37:12 ). God's power and grace are magnified in quickening what to the eye of flesh seems dead and hopeless ( Rom 4:17, 19 ). As Israel's history, past and future, has a representative character in relation to the Church, this verse is expressed in language alluding to Messiah's (who is the ideal Israel) grand victory over the grave and death, the first-fruits of His own resurrection, the full harvest to come at the general resurrection; hence the similarity between this verse and Paul's language as to the latter ( 1Cr 15:55 ). That similarity becomes more obvious by translating as the Septuagint, from which Paul plainly quotes; and as the same Hebrew word is translated in Hsa 13:10, "O death, where are thy plagues (paraphrased by the Septuagint, 'thy victory')? O grave, where is thy destruction (rendered by the Septuagint, 'thy sting')?" The question is that of one triumphing over a foe, once a cruel tyrant, but now robbed of all power to hurt. Now we remember Jesus as the Final Afikomen when we partake of the matzah piece!

Event Horizon--The Resurrection

The afikomen is returned to the father for a prize. Forty days later, the father gives the child his prize. Jesus 40 days after His resurrection gave the apostles a gift when he told them to “wait for the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4). Then when Pentecost had fully come, the Holy Spirit was given--the greatest prize of all!

 

The afikomen is hidden away after being publicly broken, which is reminiscent of Yeshua’s burial after His public death. Then the afikomen is found—which alludes to Yeshua’s resurrection and our Savior walking out of His tomb. Then the afikomen is given to all present as a symbol of God giving life to those who follow Him. As Yeshua said, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst” (John 6:35). Whatever its historical origins, the afikomen is a beautiful analogy for what Yeshua has done for us. Source

 

I learned of the afikomen custom from reading Tom Horn’s book The Messenger. His team found proof that this rare ancient word began before the time of Christ and refers to Jesus Christ as “The Coming One” or “the messiah who has come”.

 

Yet today the religious Jews explain away the reason for hiding the afikomen or broken matzah as a means of entertainment for the children (see Chabad.org and LearnReligions.com).

 

It seems the afikomen ritual was preserved but over time its meaning was perhaps deliberately distorted. (I’m sure this is the case. After all the religious leaders paid off the guards at Jesus’ tomb to report that His body was stolen not resurrected! See Matthew 28:1-15.)

 

The Afikomen and The Last Supper

 

At the last supper Jesus was telling His disciples that He fulfilled the afikomen and that it no longer had to be hidden or sought after. At this Passover meal Jesus broke the afikomen representing Himself bypassing the search because He was REVEALED!

 

Jesus made Himself known by the “breaking of bread”:

 

And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem [about] threescore furlongs.

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

And it came to pass, that, while they communed [together] and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. - Luke 24:13-16 KJV

 

And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed [it], and brake, and gave to them.

And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

 

And they told what things [were done] in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. Luke 24:28-35 KJV

 

All who heard this for the first time in our home on Resurrection Sunday in 2022 were moved with tears in their eyes—including me who had the honor of teaching it.

 

The Promise to the Bride

 

But I got to thinking--is the “Promise of the Father” a typology of the Promise given to us in John 14 when Jesus said, “I will come again for you”?

 

The building of the bridal chamber is the 8^th step in the ancient Hebrew marriage:

 

The bridegroom departed, going back to his father's house to prepare the bridal chamber.

At this point, the bridegroom leaves for his father's house to prepare the bridal chamber for his bride. . . Before he goes, though, he will make a statement to the bride. "I go to prepare a place for you; if I go, I will return again unto you." This is the same statement Yeshua made in John 14:1-3 before He went to His father's house in Heaven, as it is written:

 

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers' house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:1-3).

 

According to the tradition of the afikomen—40 days after Jesus as the afikomen returned to the Father, Jesus appeared to the apostles and relayed the promise of the Gift when he told them to “wait for the promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4).

 

And, being assembled together with [them], commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, [saith he], ye have heard of me. - Acts 1:4 KJV

 

Then when Pentecost was fully come the Holy Spirit was given--the greatest prize of all for with it came the seal of eternal life!

 

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. - 2 Corinthians 1:22 KJV

 

And since the Spirit is an “earnest in our hearts” or “token” are we to be redeemed on the same day but 2,000 years later—when Pentecost is fully come?

 

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing [is] God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 5:5 KJV

Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1:14 KJV

 

Jesus as the Found Afikomen presented Himself to the Father resulting in the pouring out of the “ransom” or “The Promise of the Father”. So then are our crowns and rewards that are given to us soon after we are Raptured an extension of “The Promise of the Father” that came on Pentecost?

 

How Likely is a Pentecost Rapture?

 

Jesus and the Old Testament Saints were the Firstfruits Barley Offering—the first part of that harvest. So where does that put Those in Christ who are awaiting their “harvest” when the trumpet sounds? Pages 143-144 of The Messenger state:

 

The rabbis say that the dispensation of law began on Pentecost. . . Many Jews say that this, the first mention of a trumpet blast in Exodus, was regarded by the spiritual leaders of Israel as having occurred on Pentecost. . .

Furthermore, the trumpet was blown not by a human, but by a heavenly being. . . The next such trumpet should sound on the day of Rapture and resurrection, making the day of Pentecost an interesting possibility for that event. . . (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

 

The celebration of Pentecost is associated with the wheat harvest, but Jesus’ resurrection is tied to the barley harvest. I wanted to write about what I found regarding the Rapture as a harvest, but first desired to share the wonderful significance of Jesus the Passover Afikomen—our beautiful Savior who has ransomed us from death and the grave and will soon catch us away—perhaps this year.
