The Flood is Coming

Hollywood is calling 2014 "The year of the Bible" [Charisma News ]. Their reason is because of all the movies coming out  based on stories in the Bible, but I believe it is deeper than that.

Noah the movie comes out tomorrow, March 28. If you tweet 'The flood is coming' you have a chance to win tickets.

If you have read any of my other blog articles, you know I believe a flood of glory is to come upon the earth [see The Coming Wave of Glory]. Along with that will be a wave of human consequences as well.

The flood IS coming. Mankind has a choice to enter the ark of salvation--Yashua Ha Moschiach, our Jesus--or perish.

Breaking the Chain of Fear

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.
One of the joys of my childhood in the Great North was playing in the ever-present wintertime snow. I remember a day when my brothers and sisters and I were sliding down the great mounds of plowed snow in my uncle's farmyard along with our cousins. We were yelling and screaming as kids always do, but it turned into shrieks of terror when their vicious dog broke its chain and ran to where we were playing and began to attack us. I shrieked the loudest and attempted to escape by climbing the makeshift hill but he grabbed a hold of my heel and dragged me down. Fortunately my boots and heavy clothing kept me from any physical harm, but my soul had been scarred for life with fear.

Far from my mind was this memory when my husband Tom and I took a brisk walk in our neighborhood on a recent spring-like day. "Look at that sky," I sighed. Great swaths of pure white vaporous clouds wispily curtained the pale azure vault. The sight gave rise to worship within my heart and I thanked God for the beauty of the day. Love poured over and through me deeper than the warmth of the sun. Suddenly the pleasure of the moment was disrupted as a large white dog came running towards us barking a warning.

"Oh, no," I said as the adrenaline rush of fear tried to rise up in me. My husband was between the oncoming animal and me. We continued to walk hoping the dog would lose interest, but he didn't.

"His hackles are up," Tom said, his voice lowered. But within the flash of that moment the dear Holy Spirit came with guidance and I began to sing softly in tongues. I looked heavenward as we continued to walk and the Holy Presence poured over and through me once again. Immediately, the dog stopped barking and began to sniff the ground at a nearby mailbox losing all interest in us.

Then I remembered how by the Spirit I escaped being brutally mauled by an attack dog when Tom and I and our then two children lived in a mobile home park. I was walking to a neighbor's trailer when I heard a growl behind me. The Holy Spirit inspired me to whistle a tune as I continued to walk. As the beast closed in, I turned towards it and with pointed finger commanded, "In the name of Jesus Christ return to your home and do not come back out." I watched with amazement (and knees knocking) as that trained attack dog did exactly as I spoke.

THANK YOU LORD JESUS, OUR YAHSHUA HA MOSHIACH, for sending us the oh so precious Holy Spirit. Only through Him are we able to overcome the things of the world! Only by the blood of the Lamb came the gift of Holy Spirit. And only by the immeasurable love of our Heavenly Father came the Son.

The Coming Wave of Glory II

Since I have returned to the American workforce (at least for the holiday season), I haven't had time to write; but after seeing this confirming prophetic word I knew I had to MAKE TIME to blog! Here is Garris Elkins' article which has the same title as my July 10, 2012, blog--THE COMING WAVE OF GLORY:

A Vision of Waves and Lines Drawn in the Sand

Recently in worship the Lord revealed an image to me. The image was of a person standing on a beach looking out to sea. There was a sense of longing on his face. The scene changed where I could now look out through his eyes at the developing image.
Before me was the sloping sand of a shoreline that extended down to the ocean's edge. In the distant horizon I saw an approaching series of waves making their way toward the shore.

When I was a young man, I learned how to surf. I also learned how to read the ocean. The older surfers told me that waves move from the ocean to the shore in a series of waves called "sets". Many times the largest wave in the set comes at the end of one of these series of waves.

As I looked across the beach toward the shore, I saw lines that had been drawn in the sand. These lines looked like marks made by a stick, something many of us do when we visit a beach. As I pondered the image, I realized the lines were judgments made because of disappointments, assumptions, fear and unbelief. These lines had captions like, "I won't do that." "That is not of God!" "This is as far as I go!"

With each approaching wave some of the lines were erased by the water and foam that climbed up the beach toward where I stood. I knew the waves represented the different moves of God's Spirit that had taken place in the past. Each new wave that came onshore carried with it the power to erase these lines of judgment.

"Run Toward the Shore of My Presence..."

The Lord began to speak as I continued to look across the beach and out into the ocean:
"I see a sorrow in your heart – a sorrow of what could have been. I gave you revival to carry. What I gave you was dropped and broken through human failure and fear. This was not My plan. Why do you think I do not have another wave to break into your midst? I am not asking you to pick up the broken pieces from the past and try to reassemble them and call it "new." I always bring something new. What is coming is completely new and birthed in My presence.

"I will erase your unbelief, if you place your belief in Me, not in what you have demanded of Me. You have no idea what this wave will look like because it was created in a place outside of human fear and failure. When I move, it will not always be familiar. In that place of unfamiliarity I ask for your trust.
"I am asking you to leave behind a human wondering that is marked with unbelief – wondering if and when I will move again. I am calling you to a place of wonder where you will be like a child unwrapping a gift. My joy will become your joy and wonder.

"I will remove the pain of regret from among you. This regret has birthed a sorrow like a person who mourns a death. My joy is always before you. Only fear and disbelief would have you look and see death. Remove this blindness from your eyes and look up and out. See it! See what I have prepared. It is good and it is making its way toward you and it will break over your judgments if you run toward the shore of My presence and embrace the wave of My glory."

A Mighty Wave of God's Glory

As I looked out onto the ocean I saw the last wave in the set. This wave was huge and I knew immediately it represented a powerful move of God that was approaching our shores. The lesser waves that erased the lines of judgment were an opportunity to get our hearts ready in preparation to receive what God was sending our way.
Like a child would run toward an incoming wave and jump into it with joy and laughter, so will those who have allowed the lines of judgment in their hearts to be erased by God's presence.

Those who choose to continue to live trapped above the waterline, behind lines of judgment and disbelief, will not be able to run forward to embrace this new work of God. They will remain above the waterline immobilized in fear and judgment.

As this mighty wave of God's glory falls into our midst it will reshape the shoreline of our culture and more importantly, the boundaries of the Church itself.

Troubled? You've Got a Friend!

Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water:
and they ceased, and there was a calm.
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? Lk 8:24-25 in part
One morning, a week or so ago, I was driving to the bank and fretting over our financial state and the state of our nation.

"Stop worrying!" I told myself. "Remember the promises God has made in His Word and trust Him." I decided to take a deep breath and turn on the car radio thinking how wonderful it would be if perhaps the Spirit of the Lord would bless me by having an uplifting tune play.

Immediately I heard the familiar voice of James Taylor singing...

When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa, nothing is going right.

Close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there to brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call and I'll be there, yeah, yeah,
you've got a friend.

If the sky above you should turn dark and full of clouds
and that old north wind should begin to blow,
keep your head together and call my name out loud.
Soon I will be knocking upon your door.

You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call and I'll be there.

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend? People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you. Well, they'll take your soul if you let them,
oh yeah, but don't you let them.

You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call, Lord, I'll be there, yeah, yeah,
you've got a friend. You've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend. Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
Oh, yeah, yeah, you've got a friend.

By the end of the song tears of relief streaked my face and I thanked Him. "Thank you for loving me, Lord, and that you have not forgotten me but do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or even think." Only my Heavenly Father could know how much those lyrics would minister to me.

Yeah, yeah,
Have WE got a FRIEND~

THE RAPTURE & THE LAST DAYS

Earlier today I was inspired to take one of my favorite books down from the shelf to see what was written about Rosh HaShanah, the next festival on the calendar celebrated this year beginning sundown September 4.

"The gates of Heaven are opened on Rosh HaShanah so the righteous nation may enter (Isaiah 26:2; Psalm 118:19-20). Because the gates of Heaven are understood to be open on RoshHaShanah, this is further evidence that the rapture (natzal) of the believers in the Messiah Yeshua will take place on Rosh HaShanah. [Excerpt from Ed Chumney's The Seven Festivals of the Messiah, page 115.]

The English word 'rapture' is natzal in Hebrew or harpazo in the Greek language. Coincidentally (?) I stumbled upon this 15 minute youtube video [link], where Chuck Missler shares what his understanding is regarding the timing of the rapture (harpazo). He believes it could indeed occur at ANY TIME and is NOT CONTINGENT ON ANY OTHER EVENT. I love that he encourages people not to take his word for this, but to study it for themselves!

At this point, my understanding leans toward the Messianic belief that we will meet the Lord in the clouds on Rosh HaShanah, the Hebrew new year. This day is referred to as "the day no man knows" (Matthew 24:36) because the new moon marks the first day of the new year and is not known until the new moon is sighted.

As believers in the Messiah, our Jesus, we recognize the appointed seasons and are not in darkness.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. I Thessalonians 5:4

 Looking for that glorious hope~

P.S. If you are interested in understanding the difference between the RAPTURE and THE DAY OF THE LORD, Mr. Missler gives an excellent explanation at this site [link]. After clicking on the link, click on the audio presentation labeled 'The Rapture'.
